My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Summer days are a time of renewal and restoration, a time for family and friends to gather and to pray. This is true for our Nativity staff as well.
Our leadership team, with the assistance of two members of our finance council, Tom Margarit and Mark Gibbs, and in consultation with our trustees have spent the past three months conducting a search for our next Parish Business Administrator. We interviewed multiple candidates in
search of the person who would be best suited to meet the multiple aspects of this role. We looked far and wide only to find the person we were looking for in the pews of Nativity!
I am pleased to announce Tim Nelson, long time parishioner, choir member, daily Mass attendee and
a member of our weekly money counting crew of the Sunday collection, has agreed to step into this important parish leadership role.
Tim brings incredible institutional knowledge of our wonderful parish, strengths in finance and HR, and a desire to lead our parish staff in serving the needs of our parishioners. Tim earned his MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Management and then spent his career working in investment management.
The Parish Business Administrator is responsible for the daily business operations of the parish including oversight of the finances, HR, payroll, facilities management, and staff management.
We are confident that Tim will make a positive impact as we work to bring to fruition our parish mission of helping one another grow closer to Christ. Please join me in welcoming Tim to this important role.
In Jesus Christ Our Lord,
Fr. Rolf Tollefson, Pastor of Nativity of Our Lord
