Are you a high schooler looking to do something meaningful this summer?
Join Nativity parish as we set out for Extreme Faith Camp to serve our middle school campers!!
There are two unique opportunities for high schoolers to help out at camp:
Prayer Team
As a part of prayer team, you will spend the week of camp praying before the Blessed Sacrament for all the campers and staff for the success of camp. It's your intercession that lifts up all the campers to open their hearts to the Lord during their week of camp.
Prayer Team receives formation from all the youth ministers at camp to learn how to pray and learning different styles of prayer. Even if you have no experience with an established prayer life, you will not be overwhelmed! This team is structured to help you grow in your prayer life at an accessible pace no matter where you are in your faith journey.
But don't be mistaken, praying isn't the only thing you'll do as part of this team. You will also help serve meals, serve at mass, put on dramas for the campers, and participate in all the same sacraments as the campers.
But wait there's still more: you will also still participate in some of the camp activities including things like laser tag, zipline, and an exclusive canoe trip.
Prayer Team is open to any high schooler currently in grades 9-12 (25-26 school year).
Extreme Team
As a part of Extreme Team, you will be participating in all the same activities as the campers while serving as a leader for them. You will be assigned a small group of campers from Nativity to guide to the various activities throughout the week as well as leading small group discussions in the evenings and serving as a role model for them.
Extreme Team receives formation at camp an entire day before the campers arrive (meaning you also get a chance to do some of the popular activities without all the campers there). This is an opportunity for some of our older high schoolers to grow in their faith while sharing it with those younger than them.
Extreme Team is open to high schoolers currently in grades 10-12 (25-26 school year).
