If you've visited our Adoration Chapel lately (and we hope you have!) you'll have noticed the door has been propped open, or else it's warmer than we'd prefer it to be -- or both.
At first, our Steve Boatman and our facilities team diagnosed a circuit board outage in the Air Conditioning unit that services the Adoration Chapel and successfully installed a new one. Unfortunately, this then revealed the larger issue that the compressor in the outside unit was completely burned out.
This new information now requires the replacing of the Adoration Chapel A/C unit. If all goes well, this new installation will occur on Tuesday, July 15.
In order to facilitate the installation, we will plan to move Adoration to the Mary Chapel (on the east side of the main church) during daytime hours. The plan will be for Adoration to return to the Adoration Chapel for the overnight hours, but then might need to be moved to the Mary Chapel on Wednesday to finish out the project.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to work on a permanent solution!
Refurbishing Candlesticks
On behalf of our pastor Fr. Rolf Fr. Tollefson and the rest of the parish, we would also like to thank the women of the NCCW for their gracious gift to Nativity of Our Lord of the refurbishing of our tall candlesticks, which are typically located in the far wall of the sanctuary behind the altar and beside the tabernacle in our beautiful church. They will be reinstalled as soon as they are ready. Thank you NCCW!
