Have you ever wondered what it is like to sing from the loft with the Nativity Choir? Well, here is your chance!
This year, the Nativity Choir will be holding three Celebration Choir Sundays. This is an opportunity to meet with the choir, learn two pieces of music, and participate from the loft at 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday. And you can do it all in one Sunday morning.
Here is how it works: Use the link above to RSVP for the Celebration Choir Sunday. The first Celebration Choir will be Sunday, November 23. We meet in the choir room at 9:30 AM for seating, warm up, and rehearsal of the two anthems for Sunday.
On November 23 we will be singing “Come, Jesus, Holy Son of God” and “Hallelujah” from Messiah. No prior singing experience is required; just an interest in trying 11:00 AM Mass from the perspective of the Nativity Choir.
If you are unable to attend the first Celebration Choir Sunday, there are two other meetings planned this year. Celebration Choir Sunday #2 will be on Epiphany, Sunday, January 4, 2026. We will sing two Christmas classics; “What Child is This?” arranged by Dale Warland and “I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In” arranged by John Rutter.
Celebration Choir Sunday #3 will be on the Octave of Easter, Sunday, April 12th. Music selections for that day are yet to be decided.
So, whether you are an experienced choral singer or just looking to give it a try, all are welcome. Please click here to register and we will see you soon in the loft. If you have questions, feel free to contact Rob Pontious, Nativity Choir Director at (651) 245-5969 or [email protected].
