Fr. Rolf offers a fuller introduction as he takes over pastoral leadership of Nativity of Our Lord

I would like to offer my heartfelt gratitude as I step down this week from my role as pastor of Nativity of Our Lord after over 15 years together. It has been my great honor to help lead the parishioners and students of Nativity to follow Our Lord ever closer.

Kate Wollan was one of eight honorees celebrated for excellence by St. Mary’s University and Synergy & Leadership Exchange at the Character Recognition Awards luncheon on May 16. 

Praised be Jesus Christ!  My name is Father Rolf Tollefson and I am blessed to have been assigned as the new Pastor of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and School!  It will be a great privilege to serve you.

Last weekend, I announced at the Nativity of Our Lord Night to Shine Spring Gala (as well as at each of the Lord’s Day Masses) that Archbishop Hebda has named Fr. Rolf Tollefson as my successor as pastor of Nativity of Our Lord, effective July 1.

Archbishop Bernard Hebda has accepted my request to be granted the status of retired priest, effective July 1 of this year.

Please help us welcome our newest parish staff member, John Paul Beane, who begins work immediately on a part-time basis coordinating our liturgy schedules, utilizing the Ministry Scheduler Pro software.

After three years of listening, preparation, and engagement with laity, consecrated women and men, and clergy across the archdiocese, Archbishop Hebda has released his pastoral letter.

As we celebrate our centennial anniversary, we embark on our Centennial Campaign: Built on Tradition with Hope for the Future to restore our historic church and strengthen resources to ensure Nativity will remain a shining light for future generations.

Thank you to the nearly 300 families that participated in our recent campaign planning study. Based on the study’s positive results, parish and school leaders voted unanimously to move forward with a capital campaign.

Hello! My name is Brian Carson, and I am the new Director of Music at Nativity of Our Lord.

I wish to provide you with a brief update from our Nativity of Our Lord Facilities Committee regarding the ongoing internal restoration work of our beloved, almost 100-year-old parish church.

I am Mahalia Marcelin, a servant of the Lord, serving as your Director of Faith Formation. It is an honor to serve Christ with you at Nativity of Our Lord.

Water intrusions primarily on the east side of the church require a construction project, including tuckpointing mortar joints and otherwise reinforcing external walls, to begin in the spring of 2020.

One Nativity 2035 is a collaboration of the clergy, parishioners, and staff of Nativity of Our Lord to identify and recommend ways to better communicate, bolster, and sustain our parish mission in service of this vibrant Catholic community — today and well into the future.

Fr. Patrick announces the soon-to-be promulgated Parish Mission Statement, which is an important tool to understand who we are and where we are going as one Nativity community.

Sr. Grace was the last Sister of St. Joseph who served at Nativity School, working in our school office and in our community up to and through her retirement years.

Halfway through the two-month process, I am pleased to report that we are on schedule with our three-part project involving the pews, floor, and lighting.
